Roy Parizat is a Senior Economist in the World Bank Agriculture Global Practice focusing on agricultural finance and risk management. Roy has led a number of activities, including the AgriFin network, agricultural supply chain-risk assessments, development of risk management training courses, leadership of the Forum for Agricultural Risk Management in Development (FARMD) as well as working on World Bank agriculture country lending programs. Roy is leading a project to test the use of mobile telephony and big data to expand lending to smallholder farmers. Roy started his career in the banking sector with Barclays Bank, both in the UK and in Africa. Roy has a Master of Science from the London School of Economics.
