Dr. Jemimah Njuki is a Senior Program Officer at Canada’s International Development Research Centre (IDRC). At IDRC, she manages a portfolio of agriculture and food security programs that include projects on post-harvest management, nutrition, value chain development and youth in agriculture. Prior to joining IDRC in 2013, she led CARE USA’s Women in Agriculture program, and the gender, poverty and impact program at the International Livestock Research Institute. She has published widely on gender and women’s empowerment, value chain and market development and is internationally recognised for her expertise. She is currently the Editor in Chief of the Journal of Gender, Agriculture and Food Security. Jemimah holds a PhD in rural development.
