Janet Maro is the Founder and Director of Sustainable Agriculture Tanzania (SAT). Her passion for climate smart agriculture crystalized during her work as a volunteer Project Manager with Bustani va Tushikamane (ByT), a training centre for farmers, and demonstration garden. In 2010, she founded SAT, a grassroots organization that engages with farmers, universities and government extension officers on challenging agricultural issues. SAT has developed an innovation platform that enables members to share research and best approaches. Janet is a graduate of Sokoine University of Agriculture and holds a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness.
