Dr. Simon Winter

Senior Vice President of Development, TechnoServe; Senior Fellow, Harvard Kennedy School
Dr. Simon Winter is TechnoServe’s Senior Vice President of Development responsible for leading strategy, thought leadership, program development and for promoting scaling and replication of successful development solutions. He was an economic planner for the Botswana Government, and a development consultant in Southern Africa. Simon is a member of the Secretary of State’s Advisory Committee on Public-Private Partnerships, a Root Capital board member, an advisory committee member of the Initiative for Smallholder Finance, and a member of the Transformation Leaders Network of the World Economic Forum’s New Vision for Agriculture. He holds a PhD in economics from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London and is currently a Senior Fellow of the Mossavar-Rahmani Center for Business and Government at the Harvard Kennedy School.
